So many labels to choose from! A cradle Episcopalian, a contemplative, a mystic, a lawyer by trade, a poet at heart, a lover of nature and of souls and of coffee and of chocolate …
I believe in the deep-down goodness in all of creation, especially those made-in-God’s-own-image creatures (us) whom God proclaimed as “very good.”
I believe that human beings, with our limited perspectives, can only hope to glimpse bits and pieces of truth when we accept the reality of our own limited vision, and begin to earnestly ask one another: How does it look from where you are? What is it that you see, feel, believe, understand?
And I believe that when we dare to open the ears of our hearts to another person, the very Spirit of God listens with us, and occasionally breathes into us words that have the power to heal and to create.
